Site Regulations

On a campsite, many people share a limited space. Everyone has their own habits — that is part of the charm of camping. But it also means a few rules are needed so that guests do not disturb one another.

1. Arrival
  • After finding your place, come to the reception the same day or at the latest the next day. Give your name, telephone number and the registration number of your car.
  • Groups should be checked in by their guide or group leader.
  • If special conditions apply to your unit, please mention this on arrival.

2. Charges
  • Payment according to current rates — see the notice board at the campsite.

3. Your stay
  • Please familiarise yourself with the rules on fire protection, gas, electric hook-ups and other safety regulations, and follow notices and staff instructions.
  • Only camping equipment of normal type and size is permitted. Your own installations such as fences or platforms may not be placed without staff permission.
  • Digging is not permitted.
  • Keep noise to a reasonable level during the day and observe quiet hours between 23:00 and 07:00.
  • The use of weapons and fireworks is prohibited.
  • Keep driving on the site to a minimum, and only at walking pace.
  • Deposit waste in the designated place.
  • Pets are welcome, but please show consideration for other guests. Keep dogs on a short lead and take them outside the camping area to do their business. Poo bags must be used.
  • The sale of goods or services is not permitted without the warden's permission.
  • Guests who behave badly or disturb the peace may be ordered to leave the site, if necessary with police assistance.
  • Open fire is not allowed between 15 April and 15 September.
  • The distance between camping units must be at least 4 metres.

4. Departure
  • Cabins and camping pitches must be vacated by 11:00 and left clean and tidy. In the cabins: take out the rubbish and do the dishes.

5. Responsibility
  • Fossumsanden Camping cannot be held responsible for guests' possessions.
  • Damage caused to the campsite or to other guests must be compensated in accordance with the regulations in force.
