Fossumsanden Camping is open in 2025 from June 2nd to August 31. It is a rustic camping site, a charming campsite, and small-scale.
To emphasize this, during the high season (1st July to August 15), it is not possible to stay on our campsite with a motorhome longer than 6.5 meters. The same applies to a caravan longer than 5.5 meters (including the drawbar). Our campsite is too small for this during the high season.
Directly by the lake, there is a tent area exclusively for tents and roof tents. Cars can remain parked next to the tents. Additionally, there is a general camping field.
Fossumsanden is located in the heart of nature, surrounded by mountains and right next to Lake Skredvatn. Silence still exists here. It is a peaceful campsite where the power of nature can be felt. And the unique sauna with a plunge pool by the waterfall completes the experience. Be amazed by the stunning hikes in the area where you won’t meet a soul. Discover Telemark!

Our campground is often described as: organized free camping. We do not have numbered sites. Anyone who wants to come and camp can drive down from the road (355, Fyresdalsvegen) to the camping field directly at the lake. There you can find your own spot where the distance rule of 4 meters to the other applies. You can register your stay during the reception's opening hours. It is not possible to make reservations for the campsite. But once you have found yourself a nice spot, you can decide when you want to go. Frihet!
If you have decided to move on, please come to the reception in the morning or evening before n to pay. Then you can also pay for the hot rolls you maybe ordered (breakfast) and ice cream eaten from the freezer. This is all done on a basis of trust. It works and we have fun with that.

A summary:
- We have a small camping field right on the lake. max. 30 places, some of which are only for tents
- Our campsite has many hours of sunshine. In July and August it is dry and warm
- Due to the drought, open fire is prohibited. BBQ is possible unless otherwise indicated at the reception. And then with a bucket of water next to the BBQ
- There is a grill hut to use free of charge for BBQ or a cozy fire
- Electricity is available on the camping field
- The campsite has modern and clean sanitary facilities
- Kitchen with hot water, oven, microwave and dishwasher
- Washer and Dryer
- Rental of canoes and sup boards
- Rental of sauna at the waterfall, 3 hours private
- Hot bread service at 9:00 (on order, in high season only)
- Ice creams in the freezer. Simply pack and 'confess' on departure/payment
- Free WIFI on the campsite

It is not possible to make reservations for a camping spot. Come on time and find a nice spot!
In high season, our campsite is less suitable for large RVs and caravans. We have a small campground and sometimes it is not possible to turn a large vehicle on the camping field. Tip: leave your large camper or caravan by the road (R355) and walk down (to the lake) to look for available space, respecting the distance rules.
The sanitary facilities on the campsite are luxurious, modern and clean.
A kitchen equipped with microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 ovens, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. In the kitchen there is a freezer with ice creams. Just grab whenever you feel like it and pay afterwards.
